Happy New Year all – and it was a happy start to 2015 by 'Field’s
senior indoor team, who walloped Locks Heath on Sunday by 5 wickets.
Bowling first, our opponents had no answer to a fast and accurate opening salvo from Blanko (2 wickets) and Damian (1), well supported in the field with some outstanding catching from Will and Chris Russell (making his debut at Fareham, believe it or not).
Will, with 2 wickets, and Liam (1) then finished the job, AT picking up his customary stumping. Locks Heath all out for a lowly 66.
Will, Alex and Chris knocked off the runs with the minimum of fuss. It was an efficient, ruthless performance by the lads, which keeps us breathing down the necks of the top three in the division. Well played and a great start to the new year by the Red Rose!
