As we approach the start of another cricket season, there are several events being organized that we need your hemp and support.
This year the club has invested in several new pieces of equipment including covers and water hog which will allow us to play matches that may otherwise have been cancelled but in order to fund this, we do need your help.
28th/28th March - Cricket force
Essential work to get both the Heath and Penns ready for the new season. Also this year need a working party to go to Hardmoor Cricket to collect, dismantle and reassemble the sight screens and covers.
Good Friday 3rd April - Waitrose bag pack
Last times we did this, we raised over £1000 so vital to our fund-raising efforts. Colts and parents/senior players to supervise. Please contact Lisbeth Thomas to volunteer. Lisbeth.thomas@btopenworld.com
Saturday 2nd May - Chili and cricket
Tradtional 2nds vs 3rds match, the final friendly before the league season starts. Come and support the teams and enjoy a bowl of Richard Thomas's famous chili at the interval.
Friday 22nd May - Club night
The first of several club social nights. This one organised by the 1st XI with coaching for the younger Colts, helped by the older Colts. BBQ and bar.
Saturday 23rd May - 1st XI vs Bournemouth
The 2nd and 3rd XI both have a bye this weekend so come along and support The 1sts, BBQ and bar.
Sunday 31st May - Jim Lintott trophy
Petersfield won the first of these last year so Liss will be looking for revenge. BBQ, cakes and bar
Thursday 23rd July - Hampshire U17 Girls vs Sussex
Petersfield will be hosting this county Girls match so please come along and support
Sunday 2nd August - President's Day
Very successful day last year with a Sunday team playing a President's XI. BBQ, bar and cakes
Friday 4th September - Colts' Presentation
End of season awards evening for The Colts.
Saturday 5th September - Colts Fun Day
Traditional end of season parents vs Colts matches for all age groups. BBQ, cakes and bar
Friday 11th September - Senior Presentation Evening
End of season awards and dinner for senior teams
12th or 13th September - 6s competition
Fun 6s competition for all ages, organised by club captain Ash Spencer.
24th & 25th October - Cricket tour to Spain
Rich Stephens is organising a cricket tour to Spain over the October half term. More details to follow soon.
