The Sunday XI show life is better without there skipper
A hard fought win on a very hot day away at Grayswood
A hard fought win on a very hot day away at Grayswood
PCC batted first and scored 298 with Blanko hitting a century (123). Grayswood managed 220 for 9 in reply with an excellent century by Cal Kent 101.
A very fast outfield and the slope played a big part in the high scoring.
Other good supporting performances with the bat go to Jack H (33), Harry Lambert (25), Ben Anscombe (18) and a gritty Rob Allerston (27).
Wickets were shared around with Rob Allerston (2), Ed Davenport (2) and Shaun Blanks (3) bowling well. But bowling performance of the day albeit at the end of the innings goes to demon spinner Tim McBain 2 for 16 off 4 overs................
Fielding moments - 2 catches for Ben Anscombe, a superb low catch by Jack H to remove the Grayswood centurion and the dependable Mark Holloway plucking a superb left handed catch high above his head at backward point
