Under 11b v Liss

Dear All, Congratulations to all involved in tonights win against Liss, it was an excellent performance against a team with some older players. The batting was solid and considered, particular mention to Benn D and Luke who faced a fast and accurate opening bowler and also to Alec for some staunch defence. There were some great attacking shots played by both Toms and Ben R-V; it was a very solid batting performance, you all played the ball on merit and contributed. The bowling was also very good, particularly Tom E, Charlie, Tom S-T, Callum and both Bens. The last two overs were particularly tight and Tom E and Charlie should take huge credit for the way they performed under pressure against a talented batsman. Above all I was really impressed by the fielding display: Carter's catch was excellent and at a crucial stage, and Jude was tidy and persevered in an unfamiliar role as wicket keeper and there were many fine instances of ground fielding but what stood out was the team spirit and support to each other. Great stuff, well done to everyone!!
