It was another good team display, particularly in the field,.
On a lovely sunny morning we won the toss and decided to bat first, Waterlooville bowled good line and length andd also took early wickets which put us on the back foot, but an excellent 14 from Tommy at the end brought us back to a respectable total of 244 for the loss of 9 wickets. (Waterlooville also took two excellent catches)
It was Waterloolle's turn to bat and they batted well, our bowling was good but they eventually finished on 277, winning by 33 runs and losing only 3 wickets. Bowling honours go to Cameron who bowled 2 overs for only 2 runs and made the ball swing.
Things to take into practice on Monday nights, for batting work on defensive shots and pushing and running those singles for bowling concentrate on bowling straight.
The differene in the end wasn't runs, we scored more runs, 99 runs, to their 92 runs, but they only lost 3 wixkets to our 9.
Thanks to Richard and Alex who umpired and rallied the troops.
