Petersfield 1st XI vs St Mary Bourne

Petersfield travelled to St Mary Bourne looking to build on their recent strong performances in the league.

Taking into account the weather, skipper Ash Spencer inserted the opposition reaping instant rewards with Christie Salmon dismissing the dangerous Chislett in the 8th over.

Salmon and Caddick picked up a wicket apiece leaving the hosts on 70 for 3 after 14 overs.

Chris Russell and Wood slowed the game down keeping the run rate low whilst picking up a couple of wickets with Mary Bourne finishing on 191 for 5.

After a slow start Spencer accerelated the run rate before falling for a quickfire 20 in the 9th over. Andy Salmon along with Billy Maisey batted superbly putting on 91 for the second wicket; Salmon looking for a second successive century against St Mary Bourne.

Maisey fell in the 26th for a classy 42 bringing Jack Hannam to the crease. Salmon and Hannam put on 73 in just 9 overs giving field an 8 wicket victory.

Salmon finishing on 84* and Hannam on 39* giving field yet another emphatic win.
