Petersfield won the toss and elected to bat at mid-table Donnington.
Field made yet another good start with the evergreen Andy Salmon and Will Rice posting an opening stand of 65 before Salmon fell trying to push on. Rice was bowled shortly afterwards leaving Ash Spencer and Harry Hannam to rebuild the innings. The pair added 57 for the third wicket until Spencer was caught behind by a ball which jumped off a length.
Hannam and Maisey ticked the score over until the latter was adjudged LBW for 14 with the score at 162.
Jack Hannam joined his brother adding 30 runs from just 4 overs before Jack holed out attempting to push on. Shaun Blanks and Hannam then put on 63 from just 5 overs before Hannam fell in the 41st for a superb 95. Blanks followed shortly after with an explosive 36 leaving the visitors on 269 for 7.
With the weather looking ominous skipper Ash Spencer turned to Chris Wood to open the bowling alongside Billy Maisey in an attempt to beat the rain, Maisey got the breakthrough bowling Tait for just 7. Nicky Caddick then came on and picked up two quick wickets effectively taking the game away from the hosts.
However Dando and Pearce batted well taking the score into three figures before Christie Salmon clean bowled the dangerous Dando for 66.
Hannam and Blanks picked up a late wicket a piece leaving Donnington on 187 for 7. The win moves Petersfield into second place maintaining their promotion hopes.
